642 County Route 42, Massena, NY 13662

This custom built Chalet style home was built with German engineering and ingenuity and the family that built it has been its only owner. Situated on 5.1 acres along the Grasse River, you have it all. Waterfront with an enormous backyard, and easy access to the waterfront where you can put in a dock.

The equally large front yard has lots of privacy as the house sits back from the road, nestled in behind mature trees. There is a big garden area, a gazebo with power, a detached garage and also the barn on the right side of the property. It now sits on the site of a former butter factory!

This barn is perfect for a workshop, extra storage for vehicles and boats or equipment or your business. So much potential. Inside this darling home, you will find that its use of space is very efficient with a surprising amount of storage. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and has an amazing view of the river.

You can step out onto the brand new wrap around deck to enjoy outdoor dining. Upstairs is a primary bedroom with its own balcony for amazing river views and an en-suite bathroom with a new tub, sink and toilet. There are two more bedrooms with great storage and a second full bathroom.

In the basement there is another living area with the home's second fireplace. Walk out to the backyard from this lower level to the patio under the deck. Also in the lower level is a laundry room, another bathroom with shower, a workshop and utility area.

The home has an attached two car garage, and an additional single car detached garage as well. This property has so much potential and opportunity with its 5 acres- make this your own dream home or secondary home- minutes from the Canadian border and on the river- a perfect getaway location.
