One of the nicest farm tracts along Hanging Limb Highway, this beautiful property sits high on the Cumberland Plateau in Crawford, TN-just off I-40 and only 15 minutes north of Monterey. It offers over 2,050 feet of road frontage, 27 cleared acres up front, and 19.63 wooded acres to the southeast.
The woods are accessible by side-by-side ATV or on foot. Completely fenced and most recently used for raising cattle, the property features woven-wire fencing with a top strand of barbed wire along the front and portions of the sides, plus five-strand barbed-wire fencing along the back.
A fairly new 80 x 40 ft. pole/metal barn includes a 40 x 20 lean-to on the back side. Natural springs in the woods have provided water for the cattle. During dry seasons, a well with a hand pump near the barn is also utilized, along with a roof rainwater collection system for an additional water source.
Several cross fences divide the field for separating or rotating cattle in different seasons. At the northernmost tip, a .75-acre pond is stocked with catfish. Fantastic year-round, the farm comes alive with fall color. Several building spots are available in the field, with additional home-site options possible by clearing and widening the trail through the woods.
